Radar is about connecting with others in real life. We value authenticity, spontaneity, and kindness, and we are proud to offer a platform that empowers users to discover and connect with people around them. We want Radar to be a place where people can express themselves genuinely while feeling safe and respected.
Our Community Standards are designed to help ensure that you, and all our users, use our services safely, and they must be taken seriously. They are part of our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy (together the “User Agreement”). If you don’t agree with any part of the User Agreement, including these Community Standards, then Radar may not be for you.
These Community Standards are really just a collection of things that could be thought of as being respectful to other people. If you’re doing something that you would not want other people to do to you on Radar, then you’re probably violating the Community Standards. But just in case you’re not sure, here is a list:
Age Requirement
18+ Only: Radar is strictly for adults 18 years of age or older. Misrepresenting your age or attempting to use the platform while underage is a violation of our Community Standards and may result in immediate account termination.
Behavior and Content
Authenticity: Be yourself. Don’t create fake profiles or impersonate others. Catfishing (pretending to be someone you’re not) is prohibited and will result in account termination.
Bullying, Abuse, and Harassment: You may not share content or engage in behavior that bullies, abuses, or harasses people, whether they are other users or non-users. This includes unwanted romantic or sexual advances after someone has expressed disinterest.
Child Exploitation: Child exploitation is strictly forbidden, and Radar has zero tolerance towards any content that contains or promotes child sexual exploitation.
Hateful Content: You may not share content that promotes hate toward individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or medical condition.
Illegal Activity: You may not share content that promotes or causes illegal activity, including but not limited to drug trafficking, prostitution, or other activities that violate local laws.
Intellectual Property: You may not share content that violates others’ intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks.
Non-Consensual Intimate Content: Sharing or threatening to share intimate or sexually explicit images or videos of someone without their consent is strictly prohibited.
Non-Public Personal Information: You may not share content that includes other people’s non-public personal information without their consent, including addresses, phone numbers, financial information, or identification documents.
Solicitation: You may not use Radar for commercial solicitation, advertising, recruitment, or marketing purposes that are not explicitly authorized by Radar.
Suicide and Self-Harm: You may not share content that promotes, encourages, or glorifies suicide or self-harm.
Violent Content: You may not share content that threatens, incites, glorifies, or expresses a desire for violence or harm.
Location Sharing Guidelines
Since Radar is a location-based dating app, we have specific guidelines for appropriate use of location features:
Respect Privacy: While you can view the location of other users who have opted to share it, using this information to repeatedly show up at someone’s location without invitation or consent (stalking) is strictly prohibited.
No Tracking: Do not attempt to track or monitor another user’s movements over time without their knowledge and consent.
Location Boundaries: If someone asks you to stop visiting their area or expresses discomfort with your presence, respect their boundaries immediately.
Safety First: We recommend meeting in public places when connecting with someone for the first time. Use your best judgment and prioritize your safety when sharing your location or meeting others.
Reporting Violations
You can report any violation of these Community Standards directly through the reporting tools in the Radar application or by contacting our support team. Our moderation team will review all reports and take appropriate action.
When reporting a violation, please provide:
- The username of the person violating the standards
- A description of the violation
- Screenshots or other evidence if available
We may use your contact information to follow up with you about your report if necessary.
Content Moderation and Enforcement
Any behavior, activity, or content that we believe violates the Community Standards may be subject to moderation actions, including:
- Content removal
- Warnings
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
We have the right to monitor the content and use of the App, at our discretion, to verify compliance with the Community Standards and the Terms of Service. Our decisions regarding violations of the Community Standards are made by our moderation team following careful review.
Appeals Process
If you believe that a decision made against your account or content was unfair or incorrect, you have the right to appeal by contacting our support team. Please provide:
- Your username
- The specific action you’re appealing
- Why you believe the decision was incorrect
- Any relevant evidence supporting your appeal
We will review all appeals and provide a final decision within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to Community Standards
We may update these Community Standards from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means. Your continued use of Radar after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated standards.
Thank you for being part of our community and helping keep Radar a safe, authentic, and positive place to connect with others.
